Sunny Turkey is an interactive guide to ten resorts on Turkey’s Mediterranean and Aegean coasts. We help travellers answer “where should I go?” with climate-by-month data, health-oriented notes (hypertension, asthma, joints, skin) and a six-question matching quiz — not a booking engine.

How the matching quiz works
Recommendations combine six inputs from the quiz with monthly climate indicators:
- Age group — child / youth / adult / senior preferences encoded per resort.
- Heat tolerance — scored against felt temperature (daytime high adjusted for dew point).
- Health focus — optional boosts for cardiovascular, respiratory, joint or skin profiles.
- Travel vibe — family, romantic, party, cultural or wellness tags.
- Activity level — low / medium / high pace.
- Budget band — low / medium / high.
Sea temperature, rainy days and off-season closures further adjust the score. Results are advisory: chronic conditions always warrant a conversation with your doctor before travel.
Climate data sources
Monthly highs, lows, sea temperatures, rain-day counts and dew points are compiled from open climate averages (Open-Meteo, WeatherSpark and weather-atlas style climatologies for the Turkish coast), with resort-level dew-point adjustments for closed mountain bays (for example Kemer in July–August). Figures are long-term averages, not live forecasts. Official Turkish meteorological products from MGM (Turkish State Meteorological Service) are a useful reference for travellers checking current conditions.
Health notes
Health sections summarise climate factors that many travellers find relevant (dry Aegean air and meltemi wind for cardiovascular comfort; pine/eucalyptus belts and Damlataş speleotherapy for respiratory interest; thermal/mud options for joints and skin).
