Which Airport for Turkey’s Beach Resorts? AYT, DLM, BJV, ADB and GZP
For Antalya and its surrounding resorts, start with AYT; for Alanya, compare GZP as well. Search DLM for Marmaris or Fethiye, BJV for the Bodrum peninsula, and ADB for the İzmir coast, Çeşme or Kuşadası. Then check the route to the exact hotel: the airport is only the first part of the arrival journey.

This is a route-planning shortlist, not a list of guaranteed direct flights from your home airport. Search your actual departure date and return date before ruling a destination in or out. For a package, inspect the itinerary rather than assuming the destination label identifies the arrival airport.
Antalya or Gazipaşa: check the hotel’s town
For an Antalya city stay, AYT is the starting point. Keep Kaleiçi, Konyaaltı and Lara / Kundu separate in the hotel search because each creates a different final journey. Belek, Side and Kemer are other bases in the wider region; they are not neighbourhoods you can reach by simply getting off in central Antalya.
Antalya Airport’s official transport page describes city-bus and AntRay connections and directs passengers to current local timetables. That makes public transport worth investigating for a city stay. It does not establish a direct service to every beach hotel, or a suitable connection for a late arrival.
For Alanya, compare flights to Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport with flights to AYT. Obtain an onward-transfer quote for the same hotel from each airport. Dalaman for Marmaris and Fethiye
DLM is the airport to investigate for both Marmaris and Fethiye. The flight can therefore stay the same while you compare two different holidays. Price the ground journey separately: a town-centre hotel, a nearby beach base and accommodation farther inland are different destinations for the driver.
Use Dalaman Airport’s public-transport information as a starting point, then verify the operator’s timetable and stopping point. If the service ends at an otogar, or bus terminal, find out how you will complete the journey. Include the last bus or taxi, luggage handling and any waiting time in the comparison.
For a family arriving late, a direct transfer may be worth paying for even if a public option is cheaper. For two adults travelling lightly to a convenient town address, a bus connection may be practical. These are different travel needs, not a universal ranking of transfer types.
Milas–Bodrum and İzmir are different gateways
For the Bodrum peninsula, start with BJV. The airport’s transport guide is the place to investigate onward services. Enter the hotel address as well as “Bodrum” when requesting a quote: a service into town does not establish a drop-off in Bitez, Gümbet or another peninsula base.
ADB is İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport. For Çeşme or Kuşadası, investigate the coastal journey rather than stopping your research at an airport-to-İzmir connection. The official airport transport page links the available transport categories; the operator must confirm the route and schedule you actually need.
Old transport advice can be misleading. For example, Havaş’s service notices announced the end of its Didim–Milas–Bodrum shuttle from 7 August 2026. This is why a previously advertised coastal service should be checked again before it becomes the basis of a flight booking.
Private, shared or public transport?

For any option, separate the driving estimate from the whole arrival. Passport control, baggage reclaim, finding the vehicle and waiting for other passengers can all sit outside a quoted transfer time. Ask what the estimate measures before comparing two numbers.
The details to send before you book
Send the provider the airport code, flight number, arrival date and time, hotel name and full address. Add the number of adults and children, children’s ages, suitcase count and any pushchair or large equipment. Request suitable child-seat arrangements explicitly rather than assuming a standard vehicle includes them.
Ask where you will meet, how long the driver waits after a delay, how to make contact and what happens if the airline changes the flight. For the return, confirm pickup arrangements and follow your airline’s check-in guidance. A journey that works on arrival may not match an early departure.
Compare the total price for both directions. Include any final connection, extra luggage charge or overnight accommodation created by an awkward schedule. Once the route works, use the family checklist or coast comparison to finish choosing the stay.

Start with the airport-to-resort table, then route the exact hotel address. “Nearest” by distance does not necessarily mean the easiest available flight or the shortest complete arrival journey.
Should I choose Dalaman or Antalya?
Choose the holiday base first. Dalaman is the starting search for Marmaris and Fethiye; Antalya serves a different group of resort bases. If comparing a cheaper flight to the other airport, price and time the entire ground journey before booking.
Can I get an airport bus straight to my hotel?
Only if the particular service serves that address or a usable nearby stop. An airport bus to the town terminal is not the same as a hotel transfer. Check the final connection and its operating hours.
Are quoted transfer times guaranteed?
Do not assume so. Ask whether the estimate includes waiting and other hotel stops, and allow for traffic. Your full arrival also includes airport formalities and collecting baggage.
