Pick the historical place you most want to see before choosing the beach hotel. Turkey’s coast offers several different pairings, but the best base depends on whether you want history outside the door or one organised day away from the resort.

Side and Antalya: two ways to keep history in the trip
Side suits a brief where the ancient town is a repeated place to wander and return to. Confirm whether your hotel is near that centre or along the wider hotel coast. An address using Side does not guarantee a short walk.
Antalya combines a living city and old-town interest. Keep Perge as a separately planned outing, with its own transport and weather check. A short stay is often more rewarding with one well-chosen site than several rushed stops.
Phaselis, Ephesus and Bodrum need different days
From Kemer, investigate a Phaselis visit and the conditions for any beach time there. The site and bathing arrangements should be checked independently; do not assume the whole day is available under one simple hotel inclusion.
For Kuşadası, make Ephesus a deliberate cultural day. In Bodrum, choose a town-accessible base if castle and museum visits are important. A distant peninsula hotel changes the transport calculation.
