A suggested first visit is to leave time for the streets of the old town and the coastal setting around the temple, then plan any ticketed site around its current opening arrangements. A photograph of illuminated columns does not tell you which nearby archaeological areas are open at the same hour.
If you enjoy history, split the visit into manageable parts instead of trying to see everything between the beach and dinner. If history is a secondary interest, one focused outing can still add variety to a hotel-centred week. These are planning suggestions, not a timed route that assumes unrestricted access.
How to choose your beach section
Side’s resort reputation should not replace a check of the actual hotel shoreline. Compare the ground underfoot, entry into the water, the route from the room and the availability of shade. Getting to Side from Antalya Airport
AYT is the airport to investigate first. Send the transfer company the full hotel address, including the area, rather than only “Side”. Confirm whether the service goes to the property and whether it includes other passenger or hotel stops.
For independent travel, Antalya Airport’s transport page describes city and regional connections. A connection through the city or bus terminal is not the same product as a direct hotel transfer. Work through every leg, including the final arrival and the return journey to the airport.
