Turkey in February: Coastal Weather, Sea and Where to Go
February is a month for a deliberately modest coastal itinerary: a comfortable base, a few places you want to see and room to rearrange the days. Book for the winter stay on offer, rather than expecting a discounted version of the summer programme.
Weather: Antalya as a defined coastal reference
MGM’s Antalya observations for 1930–2025 give a February average daily high of 15.6°C, an average daily low of 6.4°C and average monthly rainfall of 148.1 mm. These are historical air and rainfall statistics for Antalya. They are not a forecast, sea temperatures or a weather table for the whole of Turkey.

Choose between a town break and a hotel retreat
A town stay makes sense if your main pleasure is wandering, finding lunch and returning easily when rain arrives. Antalya is a useful starting point because the trip can centre on the old town rather than beach services.
A hotel retreat suits a different brief. Inspect the actual indoor facilities and dining arrangements. Ask whether the photographed restaurants will open during your stay and whether any group event could change access to shared spaces.
Keep the short break short in practice
For a four-night trip, awkward flights and a long shared transfer can consume a large part of the useful time. Compare arrival and departure hours with reception, meals and airport transport. Use the airport guide to match the arrival airport to the exact hotel.
If you are travelling during a school break, compare that precise week. There is no basis for promising that all February departures are cheap or that every family facility is running.
Make swimming and outdoor days optional
For dependable access to a pool, obtain a written answer about the heated indoor option and any children’s hours. An outdoor pool shown on the booking page does not establish that it will be comfortable or open.

If your dates are flexible, compare January and March. Keep the same departure airport, stay length, board basis and room type in your price comparison. A different package is not evidence that one month is always cheaper.
