Turkey in June: Coastal Weather, Sea and Where to Go
June is a useful month to compare when you want a summer beach holiday with some sightseeing. In Antalya’s historical series it is already hot; plan your days accordingly rather than treating it as an extension of mild spring.
Weather: Antalya as a defined coastal reference
MGM’s Antalya observations for 1930–2025 give a June average daily high of 30.8°C, an average daily low of 19.7°C and average monthly rainfall of 10.7 mm. These are historical air and rainfall statistics for Antalya. They are not a forecast, sea temperatures or a weather table for the whole of Turkey.

Keep the beach-and-exploring balance realistic
Choose a hotel with convenient beach access if most days will be spent swimming and resting. If you also want historical visits, organise one or two focused outings rather than a touring schedule that requires long outdoor afternoons.
Antalya offers a city component, while Belek can fit a property-centred stay. The decision is about the holiday routine: being near a city and having facilities inside a large hotel are different benefits.
Cooling and shade become booking criteria
Ask about room cooling overnight, shade by the pool and how far your room category is from meals. A sea-view upgrade is less useful if the room layout or daily walks make the stay awkward for your party.
Read the heat and humidity guide. A coastal breeze may change how a terrace feels, but it does not establish conditions at a sheltered pool or inland attraction.
Keep sea plans responsive to conditions
Use the monthly historical sea reference for context, then check current local information. For a boat day, ask about the cancellation policy and whether swimming stops depend on conditions; do not treat a route illustration as a fixed promise.
If June is flexible against July, compare the exact price, flight schedule and expected routine. Choose June because its overall arrangement fits you, not because a website promises that every beach will be quiet or every hotel cheaper.
Compare neighbouring months
If your dates are flexible, compare May and July. Keep the same departure airport, stay length, board basis and room type in your price comparison. A different package is not evidence that one month is always cheaper.
